Festival Frenzy

Sundance Film Festival in January 2002 kicked off the beginning of a number
of exciting film festival debuts for Better Luck Tomorrow. In March, BLT premiered
in San Francisco's Kabuki Theater at NAATA's 20th SF International Asian American
Film Festival. The after-party gala had the cast and crew mingling with fans,
sipping "High School Sweetheart" and "Perfect Grade A" drinks. Next stop on
the BLT festival tour was Chicago's Asian American Showcase in April, with an
additional screening for an enthusiastic Northwestern University crowd. Then
in May, BLT had its Los Angeles premiere with multiple sold out screenings at
Visual Communications' Film Fest, as well as screenings of BLT: GENESIS, a behind-the-scene
look at the making of BLT to the commotion at Sundance. BLT fans met the cast
and crew, got autographed posters, asked questions at post screening QandAs,
bought BLT tshirts and beanies, heard Justin's speak on panels, and saw for
themselves what BLT was all about.
If you haven't seen BLT yet, MTV Films will be releasing it in theaters nationwide
in early 2003.
